Non-resigned members of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) National Executive Committee, alongside the Board of Trustees and State Chairmen, have reaffirmed Hon. Nafiu Bala as Acting National Chairman, in line with Article 14.3 of the party’s constitution.

They dismissed as “fraudulent” a purported May 18 resignation letter attributed to Bala, insisting it contradicts former Chairman Ralph Okey Nwosu’s July 2 confirmation and INEC’s records.

While welcoming political figures including Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, and Rauf Aregbesola, the group stressed compliance with the Electoral Act, warning that failure to resign from previous parties or register at ward level could trigger legal disputes.

The leaders said Bala will oversee party operations and prepare for a National Convention within 90 days, while pursuing legal action against forged documents.
