IGP Promises To Synergize With Works Ministry On Highway Safety

The Inspector General of Police, Olatunji Disu, has declared the readiness of the Nigeria Police Force to synergize with the Federal Ministry of Works towards ensuring safety on the Country's highways.

Disu gave the assurance in Abuja during a visit to the Minister of Works, David Umahi, where he Commended the ministry for rapid and vast Infrastructural Development across the country.

The Inspector General of Police posited that the synergy between the two government agencies is crucial following the massive Infrastructural projects going no across the country stressing that, there is the need to safeguard those facilities and as well protect men working on various sites.

The Minister of Works, David Umahi, congratulated the IGP on his appointment by the President while he further thanked him for various initiatives he has introduced since assumption of office.

Umahi disclosed that virtually every sections of the country had benefited from the renew hope infrastructure initiative of the Tinubu led administration noting that, the emphasis is now on safeguarding those facilities from criminal elements.

The Minister of State for Works, Muhammad Goronyo, solicited the support and cooperation of the Nigeria Police Force for the Ministry towards safeguarding Infrastructure and development projects put in place by the Tinubu's administration.

The two agencies of government have agreed to work in synergy towards safeguarding Infrastructure and other development projects across the country.
