There are emerging concerns over a female Nursing Student, who purportedly landed in police net after suspension by authorities of the Ezzy College of Nursing, for exposing the poor condition of Uwani Health Centre, Enugu, Enugu State.

Concerns of gender harassment and intimidation had been raised over the issue of the female nursing student, Joy Ezeugwu, who had spoken out on the Centre, and was, subsequently, suspended for exposing the poor conditions of the health facility.

The human rights of Joy is being questioned as she was later purportedly arrested by the police deployed from the Police Force Headquarters Annex, Enugu.

There are concerns that the arrest may not be unconnected with purported directives from her former school to silence her voice.
