The lawmaker representing Ikeja Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, James Abiodun Faleke, paid homage to former Head of State, retired General Yakubu Gowon, at his residence in Abuja.

Faleke considered it a privilege visiting Gowon.

The Lawmaker, in a brief statement, asserted:

"I had the privilege of visiting one of Nigeria’s most dignified leaders, Gen. Yakubu Gowon, at his residence in Abuja today.

"Thank you for the warm reception, and most especially for your kind words of encouragement and steadfast commitment to the unity and shared prosperity of Nigeria.

"May Nigeria continue to succeed. Amen."
