Armed Forces Set Up Court-Martial To Try 36 Coup Plotters
The Nigerian Armed Forces have set up a general court-martial, the military judiciary, to try 36 officers implicated in an alleged coup plot to overthrow President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The federal government had, on Wednesday, commenced the prosecution of six coup plotters at the Federal High Court, Abuja. They pleaded not guilty to the charges against them. The Court ordered that the six persons accused of plotting to overthrow the Federal Government be put on remand at the detention facility of the Department of the State Service DSS.
