Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has revealed that his administration has stepped up security around schools in the state to forestall bandits from invasion and kidnapping of pupils, students and teachers.

Governor Abiodun said the increased presence of security personnel is part of efforts to prevent any threat around educational institutions and to give parents more confidence sending their children to school.

He stressed that the safety of learners and teachers remains a top priority for his administration.
