Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has called on Muslims to continue praying for the peace, unity, and progress of Nigeria as the country prepares for the 2027 general elections.
Muslims in Ogun State joined other faithful across the world to celebrate the Eid-el-Kabir festival with prayers and acts of worship.
At the Lantoro Prayer Ground in Abeokuta, Ogun State, thousands of worshippers, led by the Chief Imam of Egbaland, Alhaji Sa’adala Bamgbola Alhaji, gathered alongside top government officials and dignitaries to observe the two Rakat prayers.
Governor Abiodun, represented by Senator Shuaib Salisu, urged Nigerians to continue praying for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and for lasting peace in the country.
He also appealed to parents to remain committed to their responsibilities towards their children as Muslims celebrate the festival.
