Chelsea Star Player Guro Reiten Heads to Gotham FC

Chelsea star player, Guro Reiten, is heading to Gotham FC to continue her football career. Guro Reiten is leaving Chelsea after spending a remarkable six-and-a-half-year spell with the Chelsea Women team.

Guro Reiten has completed a loan move to Gotham FC, bringing an end, at least temporarily, to her stay at Chelsea.

Overwhelmed by emotion, Reiten broke down in tears as she narrated her experience in Chelsea, expressing gratitude to everyone.

The Norwegian international joined Chelsea in 2019 from LSK Kvinner and quickly became one of the club’s most influential players.

During her time in London, Reiten played a central role in one of the most dominant eras in the club’s history, helping the Blues win the Women's Super League title every season she was part of the squad.

In 207 appearances, the winger scored 59 goals and delivered numerous decisive moments for the London Club, including standout performances during Chelsea’s domestic Treble-winning campaigns and their deep runs in the UEFA Women's Champions League. She also earned recognition in the PFA WSL Team of the Year after an outstanding 2021/22 season.

Now 31, Reiten leaves Stamford Bridge as a fan favourite and club legend, with Chelsea thanking her for her immense contribution to their success, while wishing her well as she begins a new chapter in the United States with Gotham FC.
