PDP BOT Rises To Restore Peace, Unity After Court Rulings

The Board of Trustees of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has risen to restore peace, unity and cohesion in the party after the judgments of the various courts from the Federal High Court to the Court of Appeal.

The Chairman of the PDP Board of Trustees, BoT, former Senate President Adolphus Wabara, revealed that the party has taken steps to reconcile aggrieved members and unite all factions at war in the internal disputes.

Wabara presided over a meeting of the PDP Board of Trustees, where leaders stressed the need to end internal conflicts and restore the party to good political health.

He said the Board has constituted a committee to interface with legal teams and other stakeholders in order to address outstanding issues and promote reconciliation within the party.

The BoT chairman also acknowledged the recent judgment of the Court of Appeal, which invalidated the party’s November 15 and 16, 2025 national convention, noting that the party is awaiting legal advice on the next line of action.

According to him, the leadership disputes within the party have affected unity and smooth operations, adding that urgent steps are being taken to resolve the issues.

Wabara, however, noted that reports from across the country, showed that new members continue to register daily, which he said reflected sustained public support for the PDP as it works to overcome the current challenges.
