An early morning fire outbreak razed the popular Bode Herbal Market in Ibadan, Oyo State. Over 100 shops were razed by the fire, while goods worth several millions of naira were consumed.

The cause of the inferno still remains a mystery, including the exact shop it started. A source said the fire started at around 3.00am and was on for about 4 hours.

Fire fighters from different locations in Ibadan were seen at the scene of inferno, trying hard to quell the raging fire, and prevent it from spreading to a Petrol station beside the market.

The inferno caused traffic gridlock on the road that led from Molete to Oja'Ba, but the Police, NSCDC and other security agents were there to ease the heavy traffic.
