Court Grants Ex-Minister Uche Nnaji ₦20n Bail On Alleged Certificate Forgery Suit
The Federal High Court, Abuja, presided by Justice Joyce Abdulmalik, on commencement of trial, admitted the former Minister of Science and Technology, Uche Nnaji, to bail in the sum of ₦20 million. The former Minister had pleaded not guilty to a six-count charge bordering on fraud, abuse of office and certificate forgery.
The court ordered that the surety must be a Federal Civil Servant not below Grade Level 15, must have maintained a fixed place of residence for at least four years, provide a letter of employment and salary slips for the last three months.
The court also ordered that the defendant deposit his international passport and other travel documents with the court.
Earlier, the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, ICPC, arraigned Nnaji on a six-count charge dated and filed on July 6, 2026.
