The Defence Headquarters has disclosed that troops, in nationwide operations, neutralised 216 terrorists and rescued 288 abducted civilians in the month of April.

The Director of Defence Media Operations, Major General Michael Onoja, in Abuja, said that 284 suspects were arrested, while terrorist camps and illegal weapons sites were destroyed.

The Director said that Operation Hadin Kai gained in the North East, while operations in the North West and North Central recorded multiple rescues and arrests.

In the South-South, troops intensified the crackdown on oil theft, while in the South-East, forces dismantled a major IPOB/ESN enclave and arrested key commanders.

The military reaffirmed their commitment to sustaining operations to restore peace and security across the country.
