The First Lady and wife of the Edo State Governor, Mrs. Anani Okpebholo, rolled out interventionist scheme to provide succor for over 200 pensioners and elderly persons.

The intervention of the Edo State First Lady Empowerment Scheme to ameliorate the life of the beneficiaries includes payment of N200 thousand to each of the elderly persons.

The Edo State First Lady, Mrs. Anani Okpebholo, said the intervention constitutes part of the role they play in nation building.

Some of the beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the gesture by the wife of the governor.
