Delta State Government has commenced construction of State Police Headquarters at the cost of N400 billion towards the establishment of State Police when the legislation is concluded.   

The  State Government, accordingly, approved the construction of 25 police headquarters in the various local government areas. 

The Commissioner for Public Information, Charles Aniagwu, in a media interaction at the Government House Press Center, Asaba,  said that security of lives and property is one of the major focuses of the statet government. He disclosed that N400 billion has been set aside for the project.
