I've No Hand In Nigeria's Luxury Purchases - Diezani Tells London Court
Nigeria's former Minister of Petroleum, Diezani Alison-Madueke, at the resumed corruption trial, denied any involvement in luxury purchases and financial transactions when she was in office, as presented by prosecutors at the Southwark Crown Court in London, United Kingdom, U.K.
The former Nigerian Minister insisted that she never controlled or had any personal benefit from such acts.
The prosecution presented before the court strong case of high-value spending patterns in 2013. The prosecution tendered evidence which include emails, travel records, invoices, text messages and Harrods transaction documents, to establish the veracity of his prosecution.
Prosecutors cited several events in July 2013 during cross-examination, which include travel movements, communications, and shopping records involving designer items, watches, furniture, and household fittings, to prove their evidence before the court.
